If there’s one thing we’ve learned from writing about people like Kevin Federline and Joe the Plumber, it’s that fame is fleeting. One minute, your name is buzzing like a bee, the next it’s as quiet as a mouse.
That must explain the plethora of “what happened to” searches we see each and every week. When celebs fall out of the public eye, most folks forget all about ‘em. But there are some loyal and curious searchers who simply have to know what happened to that one guy who was in that one TV show that was canceled after two episodes (or whatever).
We took a look at the top nostalgic searches from the past week. Taking the top spot is the one and only Ryan Leaf, arguably the biggest bust in the history of professional sports. Also making a strong showing in our top ten is Larry Craig, the Idaho senator who introduced the phrase “wide stance” into the popular lexicon. Read on for more blasts from the past. These folks may be gone, but they’re still not forgotten.

Dear friends,
At first, let me introduce myself: My name is Fernando Poo, a Russian musician based on Berlin.
I would like to ask your collaboration in a benefit project called “Plant an mptree”.
Every day I note that our society is involved in destroying and polluting the nature. And only few people are trying to stop this abuse, so I want try to send a message to the people and give my help to try to do something to save our planet, and the only way that I can use to do it, is my music…
I contacted the non-profit organization Kids Saving the Rainforest (located in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica) who are trying to collect money to save plants and animals in the Rainforest.
I thought that I could help them with my music and together with 23 visual artists (who are drawing the covers, a different one for each track). I released 23 tracks in mp3 that the people can download from many different internet shops that are collaborating with us in this project. I want to release only in Digital, so that no trees or plastic is use to produce it.
Every track costs 1€ from this money 30 cents (10 cents from me, 10 cents from the JopRec, 10 cents from the MKTWO) will be transferred in Costa Rica to support the K.S.T.R.
I received a letter from Janine Licare, K.S.T.R. co-founder and spokesperson that says: “We started our organization so that we could assure people that their money goes where they want it to, and do not get lost paying for administrative costs. All funds received through K.S.R.F. go to ‘The Rainforest Foundation’, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to the Preservation of Costa Rica’s Rainforests! “.
And for me this is very important, I prefer to work with a little organization that works directly in the territory and not from an office in Berlin or New York!!!
The “plant an mptree” project is also sponsored by:
Kids Saving the Rainforest
(KSTR) is a non-profit organization founded in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica by two school children, Janine Licare and Aislin Livingstone, and Janine’s mother, Jennifer Rice. In 1998, the girls, at merely 9 ½ years old, sold painted rocks at a roadside table with the hopes of raising enough money to save the rainforests and Titi monkeys of the Manuel Antonio area. Since 1999, KSTR has expanded its mission. Through a number of projects, we hope to educate children about the rainforest, preserve local rainforest land, rehabilitate baby animals, and insure the survival of the endangered Titi monkeys. In 1999 the girls’ idea took off when they opened the Kids Saving the Rainforest store-originally located in the corner of the restaurant at Hotel Mono Azul. Today, the successful store not only sells the children’s artwork, but also the work of local artists and craftspeople, KSTR merchandise, and serves as an information source about the organization and environmental issues. KSTR receives 100% of the profits from all of the sales.

If you are interested in helping the project, you could do it in 2 different ways:
1) Sponsor by downloading the tracks
Transfer 10 cents together with Me, the record-label JopRec and the label/distribution in Berlin MKTWO, who are arranging and managing all the aspects, so that we all together could make something concrete against the developing destroy in Costa Rica and support the project promoting the cause through your channels and contacts. We are considering your help adding your homepage address or/and contact on our URLs, newsletter or press correlated with the project.
2) Supporter
We need people that likes our project and want to help us to promote it through all the possible channels. It’s a benefit project, we can’t offer money, but your support will be very big help for us and for the organization that we are trying to collect money for!!! We will include your name, your logo and the link to your web page on the website that we have created for cause and in all of the newsletters and press releases.

Beer Battered Boudin Noir black cod, chestnut ravioli, crumble and boudin noir sauce with green olive emulsion.
I wondered if this course was made just for me. It had everything I love: chestnut (minus the cocoa incident last time (could Chef Thuet have remembered? i.e. the reason why I ordered the dish was because of the chestnut ravioli??), thick and rich blood sausage sauce, along with a crisp (I love crispy textures) beer battered piece of blood sausage. The crumble was a nice sweet contrast to all the other hearty autumn flavours. The cod, a seemingly random addition, was supple, rich, oh-so-tender (sous vide??), and the superstar of the plate. The green olive emulsion was bright, and mellow. The prized chestnut ravioli was creamy, semi-starchy, and had a gorgeous texture when mixed with its silky pasta shell. Everything was flavourful, tender, varying in their mild intensities (nothing was overtly one sweet or savoury), that all somehow melded together harmoniously.
I’m still trying to figure out how this course came to be, because these items aren’t things that I would normally associate together. Either this is the work of a genius or a madman. LOL. I really can’t figure out how chef decided to pair them all. This was one of my favourite courses of the evening.

my first CD: http://www.ronaldjenkees.com/music-store **second CD due in December (but a few downloads will come first) SUPER FUN TIME WITH THIS JAM!!!! Thanks a lot for watching! Hope you liked it. Kindof a rough cut, but it’s always fun. This video is dedicated to the band Papa Roach for letting me check out their studio and giving me a place to stay in LA. Those are some hard-working rockers and good guys. I got cold chills listening to the songs they’re working on for their new album. I think it’s coming out really soon. My friend Sam gave me the hat I’m wearing in this vid. It’s made of 100% recycled material. Can’t beat that. Here’s their site: http://www.livity.org I’m using FL Studio software to make the beat in the background and a Korg Triton Le keyboard on top, Motif XS8 on bottom. Ubermann: Hardsiut Bay 5: Indian The repair bay for The Vaishnava and it’s Indian benefactors.
In the distant future, sports like Caveracing, Cyborg Racing, and Mech Racing were not the only extreme sports to rise from futuristic boredom. Here and there across the Earth, people compete in tournaments and single combat in hardsuits deemed: “Ubermann” after the German company that first produced consumer hardsuits. According to the general rule of thumb, they can only have four equipment mounts: one on each arm, and two on the backpack. They also require a large black wrench mounted on them in order to function (as an homage to the caveracers). All Ubermann Hardsuits must be built off of a uniform frame ( flickr.com/photos/30114783@N06/2837089095/ ). Apart from that, they can have any armor, weapons, arms or legs, anything. If you build an Ubermann Hardsuit, please copy these regulations into the description. Thanks!

What Obama and Bush said without knowing it (The Yahoo! Newsroom)
The Yahoo! Newsroom - When President George W. Bush and President-elect Barack Obama met in front of the White House, they didn’t take questions from reporters. But as far as body-language experts were concerned, the two men said volumes.
For a moment in time, she glowed All these fires we’re having around LA now reminds me of last summer when I shot Cory & Craigs wedding in Santa Barbara. At that time, they were experiencing the Zaca fire which had burned several thousand acres, about 10 miles from where their ceremony site was in the hills. Didn’t deter them. Some of their photos actually have the smoke in the background. Then I realized… I never posted any of them!
This was probably one of my favorite weddings from last year, and this might be one of my more favorite shots. They are truly in love and their friends & family couldn’t be more supportive. Taking photos of them was the easiest thing in the world.
Anyway, HBW. That’s about as much bokeh as I can put into a shot for now. Maybe later today I’ll put up another one, just to test the Donkey out.
And I just found out a fire broke out closer to my house in the Malibu hills, so since I got in early, maybe I’ll leave early to catch some fire photos. Vista Owner Changer 1.0 More: For a moment in time, she glowed Source: www.flickr.com
